General Questions

In an effort to keep our community safe and healthy during the pandemic, the 12th Annual True Patriot Love Tribute Gala will be in a virtual format. The event will be live-streamed directly to the Gala website at www.truepatriotlovegala.com on the evening of November 10. The program will feature many of the same elements from our past in-person Galas, including special remarks from leaders and dignitaries, impact videos, a powerful Fund-A-Need segment, entertainment, and our silent auction that will include our signature helmet pieces. The virtual format will allow you to join us in honouring the military and Veteran community from the comfort and safety of your home.
Zoom tables will open at 6:00 p.m. EST for the Virtual Cocktail Reception where guests can interact and network with others at their virtual table. The formal program will begin at 7:00 p.m. EST and will include remarks from leaders and dignitaries, entertainment, videos showing the impact of True Patriot Love’s work and memorable moments to raise funds for True Patriot Love. Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in our exciting auction, Fund-A-Need moment and make a donation. At 8:00 p.m. EST Zoom tables will reopen for the Late Night Reception and networking.

Logging into the Show

In order to maintain exclusivity to our event, guests will be provided with the following information prior to event day:
• Password to access the event website
• Table specific password to access the Virtual Cocktail Reception and Late Night Reception

To access the event website on Tuesday, November 10, you will be required to input an event specific password. This password will be shared with you by email from the guest registration manager ([email protected]) on Monday, November 9 and Tuesday, November 10.

  1. Find your table for the Virtual Cocktail Reception and Late Night Reception by clicking ‘Seating Chart’. Here you can find your table number by locating the company name or table purchaser name.
  2. To join your table, click the helmet icon with your table number. This will automatically open Zoom.
  3. Once Zoom has opened, enter your table-specific password (found in your emails from [email protected]) to join the Virtual Cocktail Reception and Late Night Reception.
  4. At 6:55 p.m. EST, close Zoom and return to the event website www.truepatriotlovegala.com to watch the live broadcast.
The show will be broadcasted live on the event website (www.truepatriotlovegala.com) at 7:00 p.m. EST. on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. Click ‘play’ to start watching the show. If it doesn’t immediately start playing, please refresh the browser and click ‘play’.

To enjoy the show we recommend making the broadcast fullscreen by clicking on the arrows (see below*) in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. To watch on a big screen try sharing or mirroring your computer screen onto a television. We suggest using an HDMI cable or casting device.

Tech Support

Our audio visual provider, Bespoke Audio Visual, will be providing support for any technical issues during the Gala. Please contact them directly at 1-888-409-1550 or email [email protected] with any questions or concerns.

If you are missing passwords to access the website or your Zoom table, you can also contact the registration manager, Kaila Currie-Bartlett at [email protected] and she will do her best to support you.

Our auction service provider, Givergy, will be providing support to troubleshoot issues. Guests can contact [email protected] with any technical issues regarding Givergy.

Gala Celebration Box and Meal Box

Gala Celebration Box: All event attendees who have purchased a ticket will receive a Gala Celebration Box and are required to provide a delivery address. There is no delivery restriction for this box.

Meal Boxes: In order to ensure we can fulfill commitments and that meals are delivered fresh, we have established a delivery zone for the Meal Boxes. The delivery zone includes the Greater Toronto Area (Hamilton-Oshawa-Newmarket). Curbside pick-up at Daniel et Daniel (Parliament & Carlton) can also be arranged between 12:00-4:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, November 10. If you live outside the provided delivery zone and would like to receive further information about a meal voucher, please contact Kaila Currie-Bartlett at [email protected].

The Gala Celebration Box will include the event program, a red rose and ribbon as a tribute to the fallen, a poppy to be worn during the show, a bottle of wine and a late night snack. For those who are not of legal drinking age or who have opted out of receiving a bottle of wine, another beverage will be provided the box.

The Meal Box will include a gourmet three-course dinner with instructions to reheat your meal.

Our intention is that each Gala Celebration Box and/or Meal Box is prepared for two people. These boxes will be curated based on the number of attendees watching from your household. For example, if you are watching the event at your home with you and your partner, you will receive one Meal Box and one Gala Celebration Box that will accommodate two people.

We request that you please include all allergies in the Guest Registration Form. If you forgot to include or have any additional requests, please contact Kaila Currie-Bartlett at [email protected].

Our intention is that each Gala Celebration Box and/or Meal Box is prepared for two people. These boxes will be curated based on the number of attendees watching from your household. For example, if you are watching the event at your home with you and your partner, you will receive one Meal Box and one Gala Celebration Box.

Delivery

There is no delivery restriction for the Gala Celebration Box.

For the Meal Box, we have established a delivery zone. The delivery zone includes the Greater Toronto Area (Hamilton-Oshawa-Newmarket). Yes, when attendees complete the Guest Registration Form they will be asked to confirm the number of people watching the event at their home and the delivery address for their Gala Celebration Box and/or Meal Box.

If guests would like to save True Patriot Love the delivery cost for their Meal Box, they can pick up at the Daniel et Daniel storefront, located at 248 Carlton St, Toronto, ON M5A 2L1. Meal Boxes can be picked up at Daniel et Daniel between 12:00-4:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, November 10.

Please contact the guest registration manager at [email protected] to discuss delivery outside of the delivery zone and a possible meal voucher. A fee may be associated with deliveries outside of the delivery zone.
Yes, we request that someone is home to accept the delivery. If no one is able to accept the delivery, boxes will be left at the front door for homes with direct access. For condo buildings, boxes will be left with security, if accepted.

It is recommended that you consider picking up your Meal Box from Daniel et Daniel if you live in a building that is not accepting packages due to COVID-19.

All boxes will be out for delivery on Tuesday, November 10 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST. Curbside pick up for the Meal Box is also available at the Daniel et Daniel storefront between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. EST. For those who live outside of the GTA, Gala Celebration Boxes may be delivered in advance.

Silent and Helmet Auction

The auction will be run through Givergy. All you will require is a device (desktop, tablet, mobile device, Smart TV) connected to the internet. Check out our incredible helmet and silent auction items here.
The auction will be open two weeks in advance of the event. Guests will receive communication to confirm when the Givergy site is live. The auction will close the day after the event, Wednesday, November 11 at 5:00 p.m. EST.
The auction will be open to the public.
The Givergy auction platform includes the option to pay for items when the auction closes. Winning bidders will be emailed/texted an invoice and can pay online via credit card. Where requested, the Foundation can help facilitate other payment methods, including payment by cheque.
Items can be picked up at the True Patriot Love Foundation office at 150 York Street, Suite 1700, Toronto, Ontario M5H 3S5. Arrangements can also be made for items to be delivered. Please contact Jillian Thomson, Manager, Expeditions and Events, at [email protected] to discuss.
